Do you know CPR? Do you know what to do in a rip? Can you manage the surf? Do you want to learn to surf? Do you want to paddle skis? have you tried stand up paddle boards? YES/NO it does not matter COME AND JOIN THE DALYELLUP SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB The Dalyellup Surf Life Saving Club will be holding its Registration Day on Saturday 4th September 2010 between 10.00am and 2 pm at the Dalyellup Community Centre. Enrolment forms available on the day. Whilst continuing to build on member numbers since its inception in 2001 there are now over 200 members. The Club offers a family friendly atmosphere and welcome new members of all ages. Children can join the program from as young as five years old. The aim of the junior nipper program is to give children surf awareness and surf safety skills so that they can keep themselves safe at the beach. They can also participate in board paddling, surfing, swimming, running, wading and other fun activities and games. After 'Nippers', the Junior program (aged 13 - 15) sees children learn various rescue techniques and gain surf rescue certificates. This is a pathway to getting their 'Bronze Medallion', participating in beach patrols and developing into patrolling lifesavers. The club also offers a program for adults who are keen to be involved. Surf Club is an excellent way of getting fit and learning life saving in a social setting. If you are also interested in the social activities there is always plenty going on! Come down and register.
